Having studied hand embroidery at The Royal School of Needlework, where I was trained in a wide range of traditional hand embroidery techniques. Alongside learning embroidery techniques, I developed my skills and understanding when it comes to designing and expressing my ideas and what prosesses I find best for my design work.
'Plains of Imagination' started in 2019, as my Final Major Project. This collection was inspired by my first year, zoomorphic Crewelwork piece along with the RSN’s Crewelwork archive.
My collection consisted of five cushions and a teepee, each having a unique design featuring a selection of floral motifs and African animals, in particular elephants, flamingos, zebras and giraffes.

In my works I take my illustrative designs to embroidery, using a range of embroidery techniques to create a contemporary aesthetic.
Plains of Imagination is supported by 'The Kings Trust'
